Faith, strength, discipline, honor, integrity, love, Determination and hard work are unbeatable. My name is Alfredo Ruiz. I’m 52 years old Puerto Rico native who has suffered from Parkinson’s diseases for 29 years. My life my mission is to show that with heart, determination and faith you can accomplish anything in life. You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have. Many people told me I was crazy when I said I wanted to ride a bike because I had Parkinson's Disease. I tell them now that my bike has given me the chance to live and a way to help others that see my life story and are motivated to not giving up their struggle against their illness. Now I ride to help others.

What is the Determination Tour™ ?

Determination Tour is a 3 day 300 mile cycling endurance event around our beautiful island of Puerto Rico.

My name is Alfredo Ruiz and I‘ve had Parkinson’s disease for 28 years but I ride 300 miles in 3 days because this is not a race, it’s a test yourself event where your determination, will power and mental strength show the world that Impossible is nothing.

Es un evento de ciclismo de alto rendimiento que consiste en pedalear 3 días alrededor de todo Puerto Rico 🇵🇷. Pedaleamos 300 millas en 3 días para demostrar que imposible no hay nada y a la misma vez ayudar a nuestro prójimo.
